Celebrity trainer Simone De La Rue is known across the world for whipping people into shape and sharing effective workout moves for everyone to incorporate into their routines. She’s back again with a plank variation that will probably leave your abs sorer than ever when you wake up tomorrow.
“This exercise is challenging, especially when you focus on your form,” she wrote in her Instagram post. “Use it as a warm up to fire up your abdominal wall, or take it at a slower pace to build up your upper body and core strength.”
You start in a standard plank pose, then pike your hips upward while you reach your right hand to your left ankle. Then repeat on the other side. It may look easy, but that’s probably because Simone’s core is strong AF. We have a feeling it will hurt, but in the best way possible.
Simone recommends doing “four sets of eight reps,” and the best part is you can do this ab exercise anywhere: your living room, the gym, the office . . . truly anywhere. Try it out for yourself and enjoy the burn!
