How stacked discounts work
An extra discount is applied to the already-reduced price, so 40% + 10% is a 46% discount in total, not 50%: ₹1,000 × 0.6 × 0.9 = ₹540.
Whether GST is included in the price depends on the seller. In India, the MRP printed on packaged goods includes all taxes.
Frequently asked questions
Is 50% + 50% off free?
No. The second 50% applies to the half price, so you pay 25% of the original.
