Let customers start a WhatsApp chat with you by scanning a code — no need to save your number first. You can also pre-fill the first message.
Your QR code will appear here.
QR codes are created in your browser. The information you type and any logo you add are not sent to CentralMirror or stored anywhere. Privacy policy
How to use the WhatsApp QR Code Generator
- 1Enter your country code (91 for India) and WhatsApp number.
- 2Optionally type a message that will appear ready to send.
- 3Test the preview with your phone, then download.
Supported formats and limits
- Uses WhatsApp's official click-to-chat link format (wa.me).
- Download as PNG (256 to 2048 pixels) or SVG (scales to any size for printing).
- Custom foreground and background colours. Dark-on-light codes scan most reliably.
- Optional centre logo (PNG or JPG). Adding a logo switches to the highest error correction level automatically.
- Every code is read back by a QR decoder before download is allowed.
How the WhatsApp QR code works
The code contains a link of the form https://wa.me/<number>?text=<message>. When scanned, the phone opens WhatsApp (or the WhatsApp website) with a chat to that number. The number must include the country code and no leading zero.
Nothing is sent automatically: the person scanning still has to press Send.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with WhatsApp Business?
Yes. The same link format opens chats with both WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business numbers.
Why does it say my number is invalid?
Indian mobile numbers must have 10 digits after the country code 91. Remove any leading 0 or extra digits.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. These are static QR codes: the information is stored inside the pattern itself, so they keep working for as long as the code is printed or displayed. There is no tracking and no redirect service.
Why is the download button disabled?
The tool checks that the code can actually be scanned. If the colours have too little contrast, are inverted (light code on dark background), or the logo is too large, the check fails and you will see what to change.
How big should I print a QR code?
As a rule of thumb, make the code at least 2 × 2 cm, and larger if people will scan it from further away (about one tenth of the scanning distance). Use the SVG download for print so it stays sharp at any size.
