Frequently asked questions
Does enlarging an image add detail?
No. Making an image larger than the original spreads the same pixels over a bigger area, so it can look soft. Shrinking keeps it sharp.
Will a PNG stay transparent?
Yes, if you keep PNG or choose WebP as the output. Converting to JPG fills transparent areas with white.
What is the difference between this and the Photo Resizer?
The Photo Resizer focuses on forms: it always outputs JPG and can hit a maximum KB size. This tool keeps your format and focuses on exact dimensions.
